1、slip one’s mind/memory

2、one’s memory is foggy

Peter：Hey, Josh, Do you still remember Jane?

Peter:Hey, Josh, 你还记得Jane吗？

Josh : Sorry. My memory is foggy. I think she kind of had long hair maybe?

Peter：You’re absolutely wrong. She had short hairs. People like to call her Tomboy cuz she exhibits character and behaviors like a boy including wearing masculine clothing and engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature and are considered in many cultures to be unfeminine.

Peter:你搞错了，她是短头发的。人们总是叫她“假小子”，因为她的表现实在太像一个男孩子了。比如她总是穿显示男子气概的衣服，参加各种比较耗费体力的游戏或者活动，而这些活动在许多地方被认为是不适合女生从事的。

Josh：Oh, I got it. She is such a nice girl. It’s really mean to call her “tomboy”.

Josh:我想起来了。她是一个非常好的女孩，叫她“假小子”实在太刻薄了。

3、lose sight of 忘记；忽略；看不见

Eg. Never lose sight ofyour goal.

你不要忘记你的目标。

Eg. In no case should we lose sight of our mission.

无论如何，我们都不能忘记我们的使命。

4、nothing comes to mind

Eg. I try to recall it butnothing comes to mind.

我努力去回想，但是什么都记不起了。
