有些含宾语从句的复合句可转化为简单句，意思上不发生太大的变化。下面介绍几种简化宾语从句的常见方法：

一、改为动名词短语

1．Heforgotthathehadpromisedtogototheexhibitionwithher．

→He forgot having promised to go to the exhibition with her．

2．I regretted that I told her the truth．→I regretted telling her the truth．

二、改为不定式短语

1．I wish that I knew the answer．→I wish to know the answer．

2．She decided that she should turn the wallet in first．→She decided to turn the wallet in first．

【说明】

这种方法常见于由 hope，forget，wish，promise，decide，order 等作主句谓语动词的句子中。

三、改为疑问代词 ( 副词 ) ＋不定式

1．The headmaster didn't know what he should do with the boy．→The headmaster didn't know what to do with the boy．

2．Will you please tell me how I can get to the station？→Will you please tell me how to get to the station？

四、改为名词词组

1．I take back what I said．→I take back my words．

2．The workers demanded that their wages should be raised．→The workers demanded a rise in their wages．

五、改为复合宾语

1．I believe that he is honest．→I believe him to be honest．

2．I think that it is no use telling him．→I think it no use telling him．

六、改为现在分词

1．We could see that they were entering the house．→We could see them entering the house．

2．I found that there was a wallet lying on the ground．→I found a wallet lying on the ground．

把下列含有宾语从句的复合句改为简单句 ( 每空一词 ) 。
