句型1 I am afraid that living with a roommate would stress me out.

我担心和室友住在一起会让我有很大压力。

sb be afraid that 某人担心…，that后接不喜欢的事态、状态。从会话中可以看到I&39;m afraid not. (很遗憾，我觉得不对。)

stress sb out (使某人倍感压力)，给人很多压力，让人紧张。在用me/her /him/them等人称代词时，要介于stress和out之间，除此之外要介于stress out sb。如：

√My parents stress out my husband.我的父母使我丈夫很有压力。

√My parents stress him out. 我的父母使他很有压力。

ⅹMy parents stress out him.

I am afraid that studying alone/ studying in a group would stress meout.

我担心一个人学习/小组学习将使我紧张。

I am afraid that doing things in a hurry / doing things slowly wouldstress me out.

句型2 The overall disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

总体的弊端大于好处。

overall“整体上”。不全否定，承认也有advantage的基础上，disadvantage更多，部分让步。

A outweigh B 可以和A is more important than B替换。

The overall negatives outweigh the positives.

总的负面影响大于正面影响。

The overall problems outweigh the benefits.

总体问题大于好处。

The overall costs outweigh the benefits.

总体成本大于收益。

The overall risks outweigh the benefits.

总体风险大于收益。

The overall losses outweigh the gains.

总体损失大于收益。

句型3 Upgrading the system will minimize am the risk of cyberattack.

升级系统将把网络攻击的风险降到最低。

minimize… 后接不好的内容，表示“把不好的事情最小化”。不能说危险完全消失，根据现实的理论进行判断，意见的妥当性增加。

the risk of用来表示可能发生的危险。“承担风险”除了take a risk，也可以用run a risk来表示。另外，the risk of的后面接续动词时，要用动名词的形式。例如，Sometimes everyone has to run the risk of hurting someone’s feelings. (每个人都要冒着伤害他人利益的风险。)

Washing your hands will minimize the risk of getting viruses.

洗手可以减少感染病毒的风险。

Getting avaccination will minimize the risk of infection.

接种疫苗将使感染的风险降到最低。

…will minimize the risk of failing the required course.

…将把不及格的风险降到最低。
