纪年

世纪可以用定冠词加序数词加世纪century表示，也可以用定冠词加百位进数加s表示。

比如：the eighteenth（18th）century 公元十八世纪、the 1900s 二十世纪、the 1600s 十七世纪，这里，用百位数整数表示的世纪比这一百位阿拉伯数字本身多一个世纪。

年代用定冠词及基数词表示的世纪加十位整数的复数形式构成。比如：

第一个逗号前的数字读成thousand：1,000 = one thousand、

10,000 = ten thousand（1万=10千）、100,000 = one hundred thousand（10万=100个千）

第二个逗号前的数字读成million：1,000,000 = one million、10,000,000 = ten million（1千万=10个百万）、100,000,000 = one hundred million（1亿=100个百万）

第三个逗号前的数字读成billion：1,000,000,000 = one billion

第四个逗号前的数字读成trillion：1,000,000,000,000 = one trillion

那么200的英语应该怎么说呢？200 = two hundred，hundred用单数，别问为啥，这是规则。

综上可知，912.17亿的正确英文说法是91.217 billion，912.17亿 ≠ 912.17 billion！

记好了，当说到具体数字时，hundred/ thousand/ million/billion统统都用单数！

可是当问到“几百”的时候，情况就有些不同了。

几百 = hundreds of，你没看错，这里hundreds用复数啦！这也是规则，不是具体数字反而用复数。

同理，几千 = thousands of，更猛的还有hundreds of thousands of = 几十万。那你知道222的英文怎么念吗？222 = two hundred and twenty-two。记住一条，数数时有且只有hundred后面跟and。

再比如：1234，用英文就应该翻译成：one thousand, two hundred and thirty-four。
