这四个单词，需要有逻辑的去记忆：

1. the：定冠词the表示特指，即特定的，非泛指的。如果没有the就是泛指的。Other和others都是泛指；the other和the others都是特指。

2. other：表示其他的，相当于形容词，后面要加名词。Other和the other后面都要加名词；others和the others后面不加名词。

3. s：other加了s，就相当于名词了，后面不能再加名词了。即other + 名词 = others；the other + 名词 = the others

答案：C。这里需要宾语，宾语需要一个名词。Others相当于名词，等于other people，因此符合题意。A与B后面都需要加名词才行，不能单独使用。

答案：C。依据题意：那些杯子是别人的。这里的那些杯子，是泛指，不是特指。而且还需要搭配所有格使用，因此C可以。

答案：B。本题与第8题相似。首先是students没有一个固定的范围，所以学生很多。在很多的学生里面，他们的兴趣爱好都是不同的。有人喜欢跑步，有人喜欢游泳，但不一定余下的人全部喜欢打球。没准有人还喜欢引体向上，有人还喜欢俯卧撑等等。所以说，喜欢球类运动的是泛指，而不是特指。换句话说，如果一共有50人，10人喜欢跑步，20人喜欢游泳，不一定剩余的20人都喜欢球类。如果剩余的20人都喜欢球类，我们就可以选择the others。但如果不一定，还有其他未知可能，我们就不能选特定的。

13. Tom, you should know how to get on well with______.

A. another B. others C. the other D. other

答案：B。依据题意：你应该学着与别人相处。这里的别人，不是特定的，而是泛指的，因此不用the；因为不是一个人，因此不用another。因为横线后没有名词，因此选择others。如果other后面有people，也可以入选。
